Let me tell you what your December looks like right now
And I’m saying this with love, because mine used to be identical.
You posted on the 1st. Something about Christmas availability.
Then you got busy.
It’s the 9th now and you’ve opened Instagram about forty times. Scrolled a bit. Thought I really should put something up. Closed it again. Twice you’ve started typing a caption at half nine at night, read it back, decided it sounded daft and binned it.
So you’ve reshared a couple of things off a brand you buy your stock from, and put up one blurry photo of today’s client with a tree in the background.
And the availability list. The one where you type out your gaps for the week and sit there watching nobody reply to it.
Meanwhile you keep opening your diary. Not this week, you don’t need to look at this week, this week’s carnage. January.
Four appointments in the whole month.
And those two things sat in your head have never once connected. The empty January, and the fact that nothing you’ve posted in three weeks was ever going to fill it.
You’re not lazy and you’re not bad at this. You’re working flat out. You just haven’t got a spare brain cell left in December to work out what to post, so you post whatever comes to you at the end of a twelve hour day. Which is Christmassy, and lovely, and earns you absolutely nothing in January.
